SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS  (August 16th, 2024) — Zalmi FC lost 0-3 against Alamo Rayados Academy on Friday. The boys played a hard fought against the Liga MX side's academy branch here in San Antonio in Matchday 1 of the Black Panthers Alamo Soccer League. Zalmi was down 2 men the whole game due to unavailability and was unable to convert chances in the 105⁰ heat. A lack of forward support left Striker Jacob Enriquez to fend off defenders in the front all alone, which left Zalmi unable to render any goals. However, Enriquez earned Man of the Match for his efforts to propel the team forward. As Zalmi have joined late into the ongoing Summer League, this puts Zalmi in 10th place in the standings for the summer league with a goal difference of -3. Postgame Notes: Zalmi drops to 3-2-0 on the 2024/25 record and records its second loss this season.
